Communication Policy

Labor Clients

  • If you believe you are in labor, CALL immediately. Please do not text.
A phone call allows us to properly assess what’s happening and respond promptly.

Postpartum Clients

Notify Us When Baby Arrives

  • Call or text when your baby is born.
  • Emails sent on weekends will not be seen until Monday.
  • If you deliver on Saturday or Sunday, we will reach out first thing Monday morning.

Lactation, Postpartum, or Mental Health Concerns

Please text or call and leave a voicemail so we can assess the situation and provide the proper support.

New Clients

If you submit an inquiry over the weekend, you will receive a response Monday morning.

First Week Home (Postpartum)

When you return home from the hospital, we allow you one week to settle in, bond, and get adjusted to your new routine.

If you need us during that first week, please call so we can see how to fit you into the schedule.

If Baby Arrives Early

If your baby arrives earlier than expected and you are a postpartum care client, please text or call immediately.

We may need to adjust your postpartum care schedule. Some requested dates may no longer be available, but we will do our absolute best to accommodate your needs.

Sick Policy

Your family’s health — and the health of all families we serve — is a top priority.

If I Am Sick

I will notify you immediately if I am experiencing symptoms or illness.
I will
never come into your home sick or knowingly expose your family to anything.

If Your Household Is Sick

Please notify me before your scheduled visit if you, your baby, or anyone in your home is sick.
We will decide together whether:

  • A reschedule is needed, or
  • The visit can continue with precautions

This helps protect your family, other families I serve, and our doulas.

Payment Plan Policy
